Life has surface noise!

A lot of the music played on Juke Radio emanates from Vinyl records digitised to FLAC. Listeners should expect a few pops and crackles from time to time.

We are a listener supported station funded entirely by our parent company - Double 6 - and from listeners' donations. If you like what you hear please consider supporting us with a small donation from time to time.

When we launch we shall be fully subscribed to PPL which ensures that the artists whose tracks we play receive the royalties that they are due!

Mobile Device Apps

Foobar2000 iOS | Android (MP3/AAC/FLAC) is probably the best overall app as you can get song metadata but it is fiddly to setup.

First create a New Playlist named whatever you want. Then go to Settings, scroll down and look for Play Location, enter the stream URL here and Add to the Playlist you previously created. Now play the playlist. If you AirPlay the stream from Foobar2000 then the song metadata will be passed on to your AirPlay enabled receiver to display if it has a screen. Nice.

Radio Tuner (MP3/AAC) is an interesting app and available on both iOS & Android. This gives song metadata AND cover art but the latter is looked up from within the app and is often wrong. However the app is quite good.

VLC (MP3/AAC/FLAC) to set it up click on Network, then Open Network Stream and enter the stream URL. No metadata.

TuneIn (MP3/AAC). To set up click on Favourites then Custom URL and enter the stream URL. No metadata.
